L’extension de la base des connaissances

open access: yesRevue Internationale d’Éducation de Sèvres, 2000
The vital role assumed by teachers merits further reflection upon the range of disciplines and skills to be taught and how these may be updated in response to new demands.

Conservation of asymptotic charges from past to future null infinity: Maxwell fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
On any asymptotically-flat spacetime, we show that the asymptotic symmetries and charges of Maxwell fields on past null infinity can be related to those on future null infinity as recently proposed by Strominger.

Conservation of asymptotic charges from past to future null infinity: supermomentum in general relativity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We show that the BMS-supertranslations and their associated supermomenta on past null infinity can be related to those on future null infinity, proving the conjecture of Strominger for a class of spacetimes which are asymptotically-flat in the sense of ...

Relative modular classes of Lie algebroids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We study the relative modular classes of Lie algebroids, and we determine their relationship with the modular classes of Lie algebroids with a twisted Poisson structure.Comment: 8 ...

Bayes Class and Wald Class [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1968
In this paper we shall study relations among the class B of the Bayes solutions in the strict sense, the class W of the Bayes solutions in the wide sense and the closure c(B), in a certain sense, of the class B. For abbreviation, we shall use the word “Bayes class” for the class B and “Wald class” for the class W.

Subuniformity of harmonic mean p$$ p $$‐values

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We obtain several inequalities on the generalized means of dependent p$$ p $$‐values. In particular, the weighted harmonic mean of p$$ p $$‐values is strictly subuniform under several dependence assumptions of p$$ p $$‐values, including independence, negative upper orthant dependence, the class of extremal mixture copulas, and some Clayton ...

Modeling UV/Vis Absorption Spectra of Food Colorants in Solution: Anthocyanins and Curcumin as Case Studies

open access: yesMolecules
We present a comprehensive computational study of UV/Vis absorption spectra of significant food colorants, specifically anthocyanins and curcumin tautomers, dissolved in polar protic solvents, namely water and ethanol.

Predicting cervical cancer DNA methylation from genetic data using multivariate CMMP

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Epigenetic modifications link the environment to gene expression and play a crucial role in tumour development. DNA methylation, in particular, is gaining attention in cancer research, including cervical cancer, the focus of this study.

Asymptotic independence in more than two dimensions and its implications on risk management

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract In extreme value theory, the presence of asymptotic independence signifies that joint extreme events across multiple variables are unlikely. Although well understood in a bivariate context, the concept remains relatively unexplored when addressing the nuances of simultaneous occurrence of extremes in higher dimensions.
