Explicit Solutions of the Boundary Value Problems for an Ellipse with Double Porosity
The basic two-dimensional boundary value problems of the fully coupled linear equilibrium theory of elasticity for solids with double porosity structure are reduced to the solvability of two types of a problem. The first one is the BVPs for the equations

Heterogeneous mathematical models in numerical analysis of structures [PDF]
This paper presents a common approach to the numerical analysis of elasticity and heat conduction problems in computed structures. It is based on a combination of the linear elasticity theory with Timoshenko's shell theory for elasticity problems, and of

Four simplified gradient elasticity models for the simulation of dispersive wave propagation [PDF]
Gradient elasticity theories can be used to simulate dispersive wave propagation as it occurs in heterogeneous materials. Compared to the second-order partial differential equations of classical elasticity, in its most general format gradient elasticity ...

Non-linear Behavior of Polymer Based Composite Laminates under Cyclic Thermal Shock and Its Effects on Residual Stresses [PDF]
The residual stresses in composite laminates depend on several factors including the conditions of fabricating process, property of materials, direction and lay-ups of the layers.

Global existence and blow-up for a class of nonlocal nonlinear Cauchy problems arising in elasticity [PDF]
We study the initial-value problem for a general class of nonlinear nonlocal wave equations arising in one-dimensional nonlocal elasticity. The model involves a convolution integral operator with a general kernel function whose Fourier transform is ...

Buckling and Vibration Analysis of Tapered Circular Nano Plate [PDF]
In this paper, buckling and free vibration analysis of a circular tapered nanoplate subjected to in-plane forces were studied. The linear variation of the plate thickness was considered in radial direction.

Thermodynamically consistent gradient elasticity with an internal variable
The role of thermodynamics in continuum mechanics and the derivation of the proper constitutive relations is a discussed subject of Rational Mechanics. The classical literature did not use the accumulated knowledge of thermostatics and was very critical ...

On a Non-Classical Boundary Value Problem in Linear Plane Elasticity
The paper deals with a non-classical boundary value problem of linear plane elasticity. With the aid of singular integral equations, Fredholm’s theorems are proved. Using complex variable techniques, the problem is considered for the unit circle and epitrochoids. It is proved that for every positive integer

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
