The irreversibility and classical mechanics laws [PDF]
The irreversibility of the dynamics of the conservative systems on example of hard disks and potentially of interacting elements is investigated in terms of laws of classical mechanics. The equation of the motion of interacting systems and the formula, which expresses the entropy through the generalized forces, are obtained.

A Continuous Transition Between Quantum and Classical Mechanics (I) [PDF]
In spite of its popularity, it has not been possible to vindicate the conventional wisdom that classical mechanics is a limiting case of quantum mechanics. The purpose of the present paper is to offer an alternative formulation of classical mechanics which provides a continuous transition to quantum mechanics via environment-induced decoherence.

Functional techniques in classical mechanics [PDF]
In 1931 Koopman and von Neumann extended previous work of Liouville and provided an operatorial version of Classical Mechanics (CM). In this talk we will review a path-integral formulation of this operatorial version of CM. In particular we will study the geometrical nature of the many auxiliary variables present and of the unexpected universal ...

Abstract Purpose To compare plan quality among photon volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and intensity‐modulated proton therapy (IMPT) with robustness using three different proton beam delivery systems with various spot size (σ) ranges: cyclotron‐generated proton beams (CPBs) (σ: 2.7–7.0 mm), linear accelerator proton beams (LPBs) (σ: 2.9–5.5 mm),

Two helpful developments towards better understanding of adiabatic invariance in classical mechanics
The topic of difficult understanding of adiabatic invariance in classical mechanics is dealt with in a more understandable way. Using the one-dimensional harmonic oscillator as an example, the goals of this paper are twofold.

Quantum theory from Hamilton's Principle with imperfect information [PDF]
Many quantization schemes rely on analogs of classical mechanics where the connections with classical mechanics are indirect. In this work I propose a new and direct connection between classical mechanics and quantum mechanics where the quantum mechanical propagator is derived from a variational principle.

Euler & Lagrange versus Heisenberg & Schroedinger: Dynamical Pictures in Classical and Quantum Mechanics [PDF]
Using quantum-classical analogies, we find that dynamical pictures of quantum mechanics have precise counterparts in classical mechanics. In particular, the Eulerian and Lagrangian descriptions of fluid dynamics in classical mechanics are the analogs of the Schroedinger and Heisenberg pictures in quantum mechanics, respectively.
