The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Classical Simulation Complexity of Quantum Branching Programs
We present classical simulation techniques for measure once quantum branching programs. For bounded error syntactic quantum branching program of width w that computes a function with error δ we present a classical deterministic branching program of the ...

Efficient Classical Simulation of the DQC1 Circuit with Zero Discord [PDF]
A path for efficient classical simulation of the DQC1 circuit that estimates the trace of an implementable unitary under the zero discord condition \cite{dakic2010necessary} is presented.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Emergent classicality in continuous quantum measurements
We develop a classical theoretical description for nonlinear many-body dynamics that incorporates the back-action of a continuous measurement process. The classical approach is compared with the exact quantum solution in an example with an atomic Bose ...

A Hessian free method to prevent zero-point energy leakage in classical trajectory simulation
The problem associated with the zero-point energy (ZPE) leak in classical trajectory calculations is well known. Since ZPE is a manifestation of the quantum uncertainty principle, there are no restrictions on energy during the classical propagation of ...

Single-qubit gate teleportation provides a quantum advantage [PDF]
Gate-teleportation circuits are arguably among the most basic examples of computations believed to provide a quantum computational advantage: In seminal work \cite{TerhalDiVincenzo04}, Terhal and DiVincenzo have shown that these circuits elude simulation

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...
