Transducer Materials Mediated Deep Brain Stimulation in Neurological Disorders

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review discusses advanced transducer materials for improving deep brain stimulation (DBS) in neurological disorders. These materials respond to light, ultrasound, or magnetic fields, enabling precise, less invasive neuromodulation. Their stimulus‐responsive properties enhance neural control and adaptive therapy, paving the way for next‐generation ...

Link between Lie Group Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics of Continua

open access: yesEntropy, 2016
In this work, we consider the value of the momentum map of the symplectic mechanics as an affine tensor called momentum tensor. From this point of view, we analyze the underlying geometric structure of the theories of Lie group statistical mechanics and ...

Stretching‐Orientation Reinforced Double Network Solvent‐Free Eutectic Gels for Ultrarobust, Flexible Human‐Machine Interaction Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops an ultrarobust, flexible, and solvent‐free eutectic gel featuring stretch‐induced orientation. Overcoming hydrogel limitations, the gel achieves record toughness (133.86 MJ m−3) while integrating strain/temperature/capacitive sensing.

Experimentally Validated Design Principles of D‐Block Transition Metal Single‐Atom Non‐Dissociative Chemisorption Solid‐State Hydrogen Storage Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel descriptor and a bottom‐up design principle are established to enable the rational design of hydrogen storage materials based on d‐block transition metal single‐atom COFs. By modulating H₂ adsorption through d‐orbital tuning, this approach achieves both high storage capacity and fast kinetics, while revealing a volcano‐type relationship between

More than a sum of its parts: A Keynesian epistemology of statistics [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Philosophical Economics, 2011
The major theoretical insight of Keynes’ General Theory is that aggregate quantities describing the state of an economy as a whole are irreducible to arithmetic summations of individual decisions. This breaks with the logic of classical political economy

3D Bioprinted Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) Model Using Tunicate Derived Nanocellulose (NC) Bioink

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 7, March 14, 2025.
A 3D bioprinted HNSCC model for use in anti‐cancer drug testing is established in proof‐of‐concept. The innovative tunicate‐derived nanocellulose hydrogel proved to be a viable alternative to gelatin‐based hydrogel, offering improved bioprintability for HNSCC model establishment.

Stress analysis of rotational shaft with a constant angular speed using strain gradient theory [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2012
In classical mechanics, considering Hook’s law stress is a linear function of strain. While in strain gradient theory stress is a function of strain and strain differentials.
