Accretion-powered chromospheres in classical T Tauri stars [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2011
(Abridged) Optical spectra of classical T Tauri stars (cTTS) are rich in emission lines of low-excitation species that are composed of narrow and broad components, related to two regions with different kinematics, densities, and temperatures.

The Magnetic Fields of Classical T Tauri Stars [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2007
We report new magnetic field measurements for 14 classical T Tauri stars (CTTSs). We combine these data with one previous field determination in order to compare our observed field strengths with the field strengths predicted by magnetospheric accretion ...

LIGHT CURVE TYPES OF CLASSIC T TAURI STARS

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2016
By using the archive photometric data’s obtained for a long time intervals we have carried out a master light curves of 28 classical T Tauri type stars. For the physical character of variability mainly 5 type light curves can be separated.

Is T Tauri North a “Classical” T Tauri Star? [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2020
Abstract We present high-resolution H- and K-band spectroscopic observations of the archetypal T Tauri star T Tau North. Synthetic spectral modeling is used to derive the K-band temperature, surface gravity, magnetic field strength, and rotational velocity for this star. The K-band spectroscopic temperature measured is

PROTOPLANETARY DISKS AROUND CLASSICAL T TAURI STARS

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2022
We have studied the energy distribution curves for a statistically significant number of classical T Tauri stars. It is shown that out of 49 stars, only 7 (14%) has I type of spectrum distribution, the rest belong to type II. Fundamental parameters, including the mass and age of objects are determined. It is shown that the amount of excess radiation in

Dust Around T Tauri Stars [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2011
To reproduce the multiple broad peaks and the fine spectral features in the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of T Tauri stars, we model dust around T Tauri stars using a radiative transfer model for multiple isothermal circumstellar dust shells. We

Photometric and spectroscopic study of five pre-main sequence stars in the vicinity of NGC 7129 [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 2019
We present results from long-term optical photometric and spectroscopic observations of five pre-main sequence stars, located in the vicinity of the bright nebula NGC 7129.

Spectropolarimetry of the Classical T Tauri Star T Tauri [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2006
High-resolution (R ≈ 60,000) circular spectropolarimetry of the classical T Tauri star T Tau is presented. The star was observed on 1997 November 21 and 22. Analyzing 12 photospheric absorption lines, the mean longitudinal magnetic field is found to be Bz = 12 ± 35 G. The 3 σ upper limit of |Bz| ≤ 105 G.

SPECTROPOLARIMETRY OF THE CLASSICAL T TAURI STAR BP TAU [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2012
We implement a least-squares deconvolution (LSD) code to study magnetic fields on cool stars. We first apply our code to high resolution (R ≈ 60,000) optical echelle spectra of several solar-like stars as tests of the code and to measure the mean longitudinal magnetic field on the surface of these stars.
