Linear DNA plasmids of the perennial ryegrass choke pathogen, Epichlo typhina (Clavicipitaceae)
Current Genetics, 1991Epichloë typhina is a clavicipitaceous ascomycete which systemically infects grasses, causes choke disease of host inflorescences, and is related to a group of mutualistic grass endophytes. Three plasmids of 7.5, 2.1 and 2.0 kilobase pairs were found in mitochondrial DNA preparations of an E.

Morphology of some Indian species of Xylariceae and Clavicipitaceae.
Česká Mykologie, 1973A new species, Penicillium atrosanguineum B. X. Dong, is described from wheat stored in a silo in Prague. The species belongs to the subsection Asymmetrica-Divaricata and differs from previously known taxa by specific morphological features of colonies, conidiophores, and conidia.

Distribution of Ergot Alkaloids within the Family Clavicipitaceae
1997In the twenty years since the first report of an ergot alkaloid-producing endophytic fungus being the causal agent of grass-associated toxicoses in livestock (Bacon et al., 1977), the production of these alkaloids are now well documented among several grass endophytes of the family Clavicipitaceae (Porter, 1994).

Development of the Ascocarp in Epichloë Cinerea (Clavicipitaceae)
Mycologia, 1976An account of development of the ascocarp centrum in Epichloe cinerea Berk. et Br., a clavicipitaceous fungus infecting the inflorescence of the common grass Sporobolus indicus (L.) R. Br. is presented. Based on this study, the developmental pattern of the ascocarp centrum conforms to the "Claviceps" type.

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2018
The ergot, genus Claviceps, comprises approximately 60 species of specialised ovarial grass parasites famous for the production of food toxins and pharmaceutics. Although the ergot has been known for centuries, its evolution have not been resolved yet.

Journal of Basic Microbiology
AbstractTenebrio molitor L., also known as the mealworm, is a polyphagous insect pest that infests various stored grains worldwide. Both the adult and larval stages can cause significant damage to stored grains. The present study focused on isolating entomopathogenic fungi from an infected larval cadaver under environmental conditions.

Saprotrofní růst a patogenní vlastnosti rodu \kur{Lecanicillium} (Sordaryomycetes; Clavicipitaceae)
2014Genus Lecanicillium (Sordaryomycetes; Clavicipitaceae) comprises the complex of well-known enthomopathogenic and mycoparasitic fungi. The quality and characteristics of isolates of Lecanicillium spp. can vary on the basis of the origin of fungal isolates and ecological factors.
