Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.We assessed attraction of eight elaterid species to a “generic” pheromone blend containing their eight known pheromones or sex attractants. All eight species were attracted by their specific attractants, as expected. Six species were attracted to the blend, but the remaining two species were strongly inhibited by unknown blend components.
