What are the effects of climate variability and change on ungulate life-histories, population dynamics, and migration in North America? A systematic map protocol

open access: yesEnvironmental Evidence, 2020
Background Climate is an important driver of ungulate life-histories, population dynamics, and migratory behaviors, and can affect the growth, development, fecundity, dispersal, and demographic trends of populations.

Climate capacity: the measurement for adaptation to climate change

open access: yesChinese Journal of Population Resources and Environment, 2015
This article proposed the concept of “climate capacity” as a way of measuring human’s adaptiveness to climate change. This article also focused on the related concepts like ecological carrying capacity, water resources carrying capacity, land carrying capacity as well as population carrying capacity.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Deep Learning-Based Medium- and Long-Term Ozone Forecasting for Megacity Shanghai, China

open access: yesAerosol and Air Quality Research
Accurate ozone concentration forecasting is crucial for effective air quality management and environmental protection. However, most of the existing forecasting models focus on short-term (24–72 h) forecasts and lack validation for extended horizons ...

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries
