Experimental study on the effect of clogging on the inlet discharge capacity

open access: yesShui kexue jinzhan, 2020
Street inlet is one of the key facilities in urbran drainage systems. Once street inlets are clogged, the surface water cannot be discharged efficiently into the underground pipes, which is one of the main reasons for the occurrence of severe urban ...

Studies on clogging of the constructed wetland

open access: yes, 2004
The parameters of substrate related to clogging, such as the grain size, the filtration rate and organic substance in the substrate, were investigated in the integrated vertical-flow constructed wetland (IVCW).

CLOGGING PROPERTY OF GEOTEXTILE FILTERS

open access: yes, 2011
application/pdfWhen a geotextile as filter is set in a ground for drainage, a decreasing of cross-plane flow performance of geotextile is expected due to a clogging associated with a intrusion and capture of soil particle.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Colloid clogging of saturated porous media under varying ionic strength and roughness during managed aquifer recharge

open access: yesJournal of Water Reuse and Desalination, 2019
Column experiments were conducted to examine the clogging effects of colloids under controlled conditions of solution ionic strength (IS) and porous media roughness.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Mechanism for clogging of microchannels

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate clogging of microchannels at the single-pore level using microfluidic devices as model porous media. The process of clogging is studied at low volume fractions and high flow rates, a technologically important regime.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Transport of Non-Newtonian Suspensions of Highly Concentrated Micro- And Nanoscale Iron Particles in Porous Media: A Modeling Approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The use of zerovalent iron micro- and nanoparticles (MZVI and NZVI) for groundwater remediation is hindered by colloidal instability, causing aggregation (for NZVI) and sedimentation (for MZVI) of the particles.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.
