Premalignant clonal hematopoiesis is the presence of somatic alterations in the blood of otherwise healthy individuals. Although the condition is not considered as a cancer, it carries an increased risk of developing a hematologic malignancy, particularly in those with large neoplastic clones, multiple pathogenic mutations, and high-risk mutations.

Clonality of oligoastrocytomas
Human Pathology, 2002Oligoastrocytomas (OA) are mixed glial tumors that show morphologic features of both oligodendrogliomas and astrocytomas. The histogenesis of these tumors remains undefined. The aim of this study was to investigate the clonality of OA on the basis of tumor-dependent genetic alterations and tumor-independent X-chromosome inactivation.

Clonality of Multiple Meningiomas
Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, 1997✓ A significant number of patients with meningiomas develop multiple tumors without anatomical bridges. To understand the mechanism by which multiple meningiomas arise, the authors analyzed DNA from 39 multiple meningiomas in 12 patients to locate alterations in the neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) gene.

Clonal highlights: Clonal seborrheic keratoses often demonstrates p16 expression
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 2019Background At times, distinguishing Bowen disease (BD) and benign seborrheic keratosis (SK) is histologically challenging, especially when SK shows clonal features (clonal seborrheic keratosis [CSK]). While p16 is often reported as positive in BD and negative in SK, p16 expression in CSK is rarely studied.

AbstractAbout 99.9% of vertebrate species reproduce sexually. This makes the exceptional 0.1%—the asexual or clonal reproducers—fascinating in their own right, and also uniquely instructive about the biological significance of alternative reproductive modes. This book describes the genetics, ecology, natural history, and evolution of all of the world's

Clonal Origin and Clonal Selection in PNH
2017Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) is a haemolytic anaemia with rather unique features; indeed, (a) it is also associated with features of bone marrow failure; (b) it is acquired but it is due to an intrinsic red cell abnormality; and (c) it is a clonal disorder of haematopoiesis, but it is not a malignancy.

Abstract Vegetative propagation is being increasingly used to multiply selected planting material in plantation forestry and agroforestry in the tropics. It is a way of raising planting stock not involving seed and includes cuttings, layering, budding, grafting and, recently, micro propagation.
