Closed Geodesics on Riemann Surfaces [PDF]
This note deals with an elementary property of closed geodesics on surfaces with a complete metric of constant negative curvature.

scTIDE identifies single‐cell tipping points by combining manifold‐based graph representations with optimal‐transport conditional flow matching, which preserves intrinsic topology and models distributional dynamics. It supports critical‐transition detection at individual‐cell resolution, prediction of unseen cells, and dimensionality reduction and ...

Mice can transfer the learned rule of spatial working memory to guide similar but novel tasks. Hippocampal CA3 populational activity dynamically reorganize during memory generalization, shifting from task‐specific to generalized coding over testing days. Sparse yet redundant neural representations of CA3 enable rule transfer and cognitive map formation,

Pairs of closed geodesics in metric graphs
In this paper we study the counting pairs of closed geodesics on metric graphs. We obtain an asymptotic for the number of pairs of closed geodesics ordered by their word lengths on the metric graph, such that the difference of their geometric lengths ...

Shadow Geometry of Kerr Naked Singularities
Direct imaging of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) at event horizon-scale resolutions, as recently done by the Event Horizon Telescope, allows for testing alternative models to SMBHs such as Kerr naked singularities (KNSs).

The Space of Closed Geodesics on a Surface
Let \(F\) be a closed, orientable surface of genus \(g\), endowed with a metric of constant curvature and denote by \({\mathcal G}_g\) the set of closed geodesics on \(F\). Closed geodesics are considered as images of periodic maps from \(\mathbb{R}\) into \(F\).

Quantum‐Like Dynamics in Whole‐Brain Models of the Human Connectome
Quantum‐like dynamics in the human brain. The level of quantum‐like behavior in a non‐quantum system of coupled oscillators is regulated by the spectral gap of the coupling graph. Whole‐brain modelling using QL fits the empirical data significantly better and has a lower model‐derived energy cost than the non‐QL model.

Geodesics on Calabi-Yau manifolds and winding states in nonlinear sigma models
We conjecture that a non-flat D-real-dimensional compact Calabi-Yau manifold, such as a quintic hypersurface with D=6, or a K3 manifold with D=4, has locally length minimizing closed geodesics, and that the number of these with length less than L grows ...

Ex‐spRandom is a spatial transcriptomics platform that synergizes random‐primed chemistry with iterative hydrogel expansion. By physically decrowding the dense FFPE matrix, this scalable technology shatters the traditional resolution‐sensitivity barrier.
