A closed simplicial model category for proper homotopy and shape theories [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1998
In this paper, we introduce the notion of exterior space and give a full embedding of the category P of spaces and proper maps into the category E of exterior spaces. We show that the category E admits the structure of a closed simplicial model category.

Closed model category structures on the category of chain functors

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2003
A chain functor is a pair of functors from the topological or simplicial category into the category of chain complexes, together with some additional data (see [\textit{F. W. Bauer}, Homology Homotopy Appl. 3, 37-53 (2001; Zbl 0971.55007)]. They are used to calculate homology groups of a given homology theory by means of chains, cycles and boundaries ...

On the relation between open and closed topological strings [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2004
We discuss the relation between open and closed string correlators using topological string theories as a toy model. We propose that one can reconstruct closed string correlators from the open ones by considering the Hochschild cohomology of the category

Executions in (Semi-)Integer Petri Nets are Compact Closed Categories [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2019
In this work, we analyse Petri nets where places are allowed to have a negative number of tokens. For each net we build its correspondent category of executions, which is compact closed, and prove that this procedure is functorial.

The Stimulation Model for the Criterial Decision-Making at the Agricultural Enterprise [PDF]

open access: yesSHS Web of Conferences, 2019
According to the general theory of systems, agricultural enterprises are from the category of closed systems in interaction with the external environment and they are close to the category of open systems.

Turing Automata and Graph Machines [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2010
Indexed monoidal algebras are introduced as an equivalent structure for self-dual compact closed categories, and a coherence theorem is proved for the category of such algebras.

Impact of Body Mass Index on Static Postural Control in Adults With and Without Diabetes: A Cross-Sectional Study

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2021
AimThe objective of this research was to determine the static postural control differences measured from a force platform in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and healthy control groups with different levels of body mass index (BMI), and detect the static ...

A model for assessment of Halal Good Manufacturing Practice in meat industry

open access: yesProduction and Manufacturing Research: An Open Access Journal, 2022
This research aimed to build an assessment model on the Halal Good Manufacturing Practices (HGMP) in the meat industry. Data collection was used at four slaughterhouses in Indonesia. This study collected data through two closed questionnaires involving a

A Compositional Model of Consciousness Based on Consciousness-Only

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
Scientific studies of consciousness rely on objects whose existence is assumed to be independent of any consciousness. On the contrary, we assume consciousness to be fundamental, and that one of the main features of consciousness is characterized as ...
