The closure property of H $\mathcal{H}$ -tensors under the Hadamard product [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
In this paper, we investigate the closure property of H $\mathcal {H}$ -tensors under the Hadamard product. It is shown that the Hadamard products of Hadamard powers of strong H $\mathcal{H}$ -tensors are still strong H $\mathcal{H}$ -tensors.

CLOSURE PROPERTIES OF MEASURABLE ULTRAPOWERS [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2021
AbstractWe study closure properties of measurable ultrapowers with respect to Hamkin’s notion of freshness and show that the extent of these properties highly depends on the combinatorial properties of the underlying model of set theory. In one direction, a result of Sakai shows that, by collapsing a strongly compact cardinal to become the double ...

Product Convolution of Generalized Subexponential Distributions

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
Assume that ξ and η are two independent random variables with distribution functions Fξ and Fη, respectively. The distribution of a random variable ξη, denoted by Fξ⊗Fη, is called the product-convolution of Fξ and Fη.

The Fondation des Monastères in France, 1969–2019

open access: yesIn_Bo, 2021
The work of the Fondation des Monastères is to help communities solve legal , property, and other issues. The matter of the closure of some monasteries has become very important in recent times. The Foundation aims to help in all fields: canonical, civil,

Closure Properties of Coalgebra Automata [PDF]

open access: yes20th Annual IEEE Symposium on Logic in Computer Science (LICS' 05), 2006
We generalize some of the central results in automata theory to the abstraction level of coalgebras. In particular, we show that for any standard, weak pullback preserving functor F, the class of recognizable languages of F -coalgebras is closed under taking unions, intersections and projections.

Regularly distributed randomly stopped sum, minimum, and maximum

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2020
Let {ξ1,ξ2,...} be a sequence of independent real-valued, possibly nonidentically distributed, random variables, and let η be a nonnegative, nondegenerate at 0, and integer-valued random variable, which is independent of {ξ1,ξ2,...}.

Bipartite Link Prediction by Intra-Class Connection Based Triadic Closure

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A variety of real-world systems can be formulated as bipartite link prediction problems where two different types of nodes exist and no links connect nodes of the same type.

On Closure under Formation of Coherent Systems [PDF]

open access: yesThe Egyptian Statistical Journal, 1988
We extend Klefsjo (1985) proof for the closure of the increasing failure rate average (IFRA) property under formation of parallel systems to k-out-of-n systems. We also show that any k-out-of-n system with 1≤k<n independent and identically distributed

Randomly stopped sums with exponential-type distributions

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2017
Assume that {ξ1, ξ2, …} are independent and possibly nonidentically distributed random variables. Suppose that η is a nonnegative, nondegenerate at zero and integer-valued random variable, which is independent of {ξ1, ξ2, …}.
