We introduce a new membrane‐active antifungal design, Gua‐SMACS‐16, that exhibits high potency and single‐species selectivity for C. tropicalis while sparing other close species in the Candida genus. Moreover, when combining with caspofungin, a clinical antifungal drug inhibiting 1,3‐β‐glucan synthase, they exhibit ultra‐strong synergy across a panel ...

A practical microcylinder appearance model for cloth rendering
This article introduces a practical shading model for cloth that can simulate both anisotropic highlights as well as the complex color shifts seen in cloth made of different colored threads. Our model is based on extensive Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) measurements of several cloth samples.

ZnSb reduces carrier concentration and suppresses Te volatilization, while Se substitution within QLs softens phonons and enhances anharmonicity. Swapped bilayers near twin boundaries strengthen phonon scattering and interlayer bonding. As a result, the optimal sample achieves an ultra‐high zT ∼1.51, cooling temperature difference of ∼70 K, power ...

Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...
