Developmental Environmental Chronotoxicity by Polystyrene Nanoplastics Exacerbates High‐Fat Diet‐Induced Pediatric MAFLD Through Circadian Disruption and Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polystyrene nanoplastics exacerbate high‐fat diet‐induced metabolic dysfunction in an age‐dependent manner. Juvenile mice exhibit greater susceptibility, characterized by circadian disruption, impaired mitochondrial function, reduced energy metabolism, and enhanced hepatic lipid accumulation.

Smartphone‐Guided Visible Light Modulation of RSNOs for Antimicrobial Activity via Controlled Nitric Oxide Release

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A light‐activated catheter insert combines antimicrobial blue light with nitric oxide release to generate complementary oxidative and nitrosative stress, producing potent broad‐spectrum antimicrobial activity. The approach achieves greater than 4‐log reductions in bacterial and fungal viability and significantly reduces Staphylococcus aureus ...

Influence of clotting time on the protein composition of serum samples based on LC–MS data

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography B: Analytical Technologies in the Biomedical and Life Sciences, 2009
Many large, disease-related biobanks of serum samples have been established prior to the widespread use of proteomics in biomarker research. These biobanks may contain relevant information about the disease process, response to therapy or patient ...
