A Survey on Algorithmic Aspects of Virtual Optical Network Embedding for Cloud Networks
An important challenge in network virtualization is the process of assigning physical resources to virtual network requests, where virtual node resources represent the demands of IT capacities while virtual links are connected between pairs of virtual ...

A Catalog of HI Clouds in the Large Magellanic Cloud
A 21 cm neutral hydrogen interferometric survey of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) combined with the Parkes multi-beam HI single-dish survey clearly shows that the HI gas is distributed in the form of clumps or clouds. The HI clouds and clumps have been

Intervening BLR Clouds' Effects on Optical/UV Spectrum [PDF]
Recent x-ray observations of Mrk 766 suggest that broad emission line region clouds cross our line of sight and produce variable x-ray absorption. Here we investigate what optical/ultraviolet spectroscopic features would be produced by such "Intervening ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Downward short-wave (SW) solar radiation is the only essential energy source powering the atmospheric dynamics, ocean dynamics, biochemical processes, and so forth on our planet. Clouds are the main factor limiting the SW flux over the land and the Ocean.

Interstellar absorptions and shocked clouds towards supernova remnant RX J0852.0-4622
We present results of survey of interstellar absorptions towards supernova remnant (SNR) RX J0852.0-4622. The distribution of KI absorbers along the distance of the background stars is indicative of a local region (d100km/s towards three stars and ...
