Fish larval daily assemblage variations in coastal waters of the Chahbahar Bay

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 2015
The survey of fish larvae assemblage variation was done in 2013 seasonally at the coastal areas of Southeastern side of Chabahar Bay. Sampling was done in 3 stations at day and night periods by a Bongo-Net with 300μ of mesh size.

Distribution and abundance of ichthyoplankton in Florida Bay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Ichthyoplankton was sampled at 14 stations with 60 cm bongo nets fitted with 0.333 mm mesh in basins throughout Florida Bay in 1994-1995. In addition, I compared collections made using an epibenthic sled to those made with standard ichthyoplankton bongo

A Baseline of Fish Species Richness Through eDNA Metabarcoding in an Understudied Tropical Mangrove Coast of Java, Indonesia

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 6, November–December 2025.
This study demonstrates the use of environmental DNA metabarcoding of fish in a highly diverse but poorly described tropical mangrove ecosystem along the North coast of Java, Indonesia. Our results indicate eDNA metabarcoding can capture temporal differences and provide a baseline for fish diversity for future (eDNA metabarcoding) biodiversity studies ...

Early-life-history profiles, seasonal abundance, and distribution of four species of Clupeid larvae from the northern Gulf of Mexico, 1982 and 1983 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
We present data on ichthyoplankton distribution, abundance, and seasonality and supporting environmental information for four species of coastal pelagics from the family Clupeidae: round herring Etrumeus teres, scaled sardine Harengula jaguana ...

Consumption to biomass (Q/B) ratio and estimates of Q/B-predictor parameters for Caribbean fishes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Estimates of the Q/B ratio and parameters of equations to 'predict' Q/B values for 116 fish stocks in the Gulf of Salamanca, Colombia are presented. A compilation of these estimates available for Caribbean Sea fishes (264 stocks) is also provided for ...

Does tidal marsh restoration lead to the recovery of trophic pathways that support estuarine fishes?

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 35, Issue 7, October 2025.
Abstract Evaluation of tidal marsh restoration success is typically based on the recovery of habitat size and target species. However, food‐web structure may provide valuable insight into ecosystem functioning trajectories. Here, we studied restored tidal marshes of different ages (new, young, old; spanning 1–150 years) in comparison with nearby ...
