Towards Implementing Multispecies Harvest Strategies That Are Robust to Interacting Populations
To advance the implementation of fisheries management that is robust to interacting populations (RIP), ecosystem management approaches can be structured using four main categories: (A) whole‐of‐ecosystem; (B) focus or key species; (C) species of conservation concern; and (D) pest or climate‐immigrant species.

Fish larval daily assemblage variations in coastal waters of the Chahbahar Bay
The survey of fish larvae assemblage variation was done in 2013 seasonally at the coastal areas of Southeastern side of Chabahar Bay. Sampling was done in 3 stations at day and night periods by a Bongo-Net with 300μ of mesh size.

Early-life-history profiles, seasonal abundance, and distribution of four species of Clupeid larvae from the northern Gulf of Mexico, 1982 and 1983 [PDF]
We present data on ichthyoplankton distribution, abundance, and seasonality and supporting environmental information for four species of coastal pelagics from the family Clupeidae: round herring Etrumeus teres, scaled sardine Harengula jaguana ...

ABSTRACT Scientific literature supports the benefits of trawling bans for fish assemblages, particularly regarding species richness and fish size, besides the health of food webs and seafloor habitats. Length‐based indicators are commonly applied to track the recovery, offering straightforward and sensitive metrics for detecting shifts in population ...

Distribution and abundance of ichthyoplankton in Florida Bay [PDF]
Ichthyoplankton was sampled at 14 stations with 60 cm bongo nets fitted with 0.333 mm mesh in basins throughout Florida Bay in 1994-1995. In addition, I compared collections made using an epibenthic sled to those made with standard ichthyoplankton bongo

Shearing Tooth Morphology May Allow Sharks to Access Higher Trophic Levels at Smaller Sizes
Predator morphology imposes limitations on prey selection due to biomechanical constraints, making some prey functionally inaccessible and thereby constraining predator trophic niches. We assessed how two key components of trophic morphology—tooth shape and body size—affect prey selectivity and trophic niche in two sympatric sharks with contrasting ...

ABSTRACT The condition of ancient marine ecosystems provides context for contemporary biodiversity changes in human‐impacted oceans. Sequencing sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA) is an emerging method for generating high‐resolution biodiversity time‐series data, offering insights into past ecosystems.
