Continuous Cluster Expansion for Field Theories

open access: yes, 2023
A new version of the cluster expansion is proposed without breaking the translation and rotation invariance. As an application of this technique, we construct the connected Schwinger functions of the regularized $\phi^4$ theory in a continuous ...

Cluster Expansion Applied to Inelastic Scattering Experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this thesis the cluster inversion method of Connolly and Williams is performed on measurements of properties of random solid solutions. This is possible when the number of terms required for the expansion is small.

Prediction of crystalline Ta4O9 phase using first principles-based cluster expansion calculations

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2020
Tantalum is the only element of Group 5 in the periodic table that lacks any experimental reports on the existence of reduced crystalline oxide between the pentoxide (Ta2O5) and the dioxide (TaO2).

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Cartesian atomic cluster expansion for machine learning interatomic potentials

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
Machine learning interatomic potentials are revolutionizing large-scale, accurate atomistic modeling in material science and chemistry. Many potentials use atomic cluster expansion or equivariant message-passing frameworks.

Condensation Problem of the Gibbs Single-Phase Statistics on the Lennard-Jones Fluid Example [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики, 2013
The accurate expression for the cluster expansion of the configuration integral of interacting particles is considered in the paper. The investigations of this expression indicate the beginning of the gas-liquid transition at the singularity points of ...

On a renormalized cluster expansion

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1972
Abstract We present the result of a partial summation of the Iwamoto-Yamada cluster expansion valid for infinite systems. The resulting expansion is renormalized by weight factors which for a special representation of the trial wave function are identical with occupation probabilities. The relation to renormalized Brueckner theory is illustrated by a

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

A general Cluster data and global MHD simulation comparison [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Among the many challenges facing the space weather modelling community today, is the need for validation and verification methods of the numerical models available describing the complex nonlinear Sun-Earth system.
