Spinodal Clustering in Thin Films of Nanoparticle-Polymer Mixtures
Physical Review Letters, 2010Thin supported polystyrene-C(60) fullerene mixtures annealed above their glass transition temperature develop spinodal surface undulations which depend on film thickness h(20-500 nm), polymer molecular mass M(w), temperature, and time t. The dominant wavelength λ ∼1-10 μm scales linearly with h and coarsening kinetics follow λ∼t{α}, with 0< α(h) < 1 ...

Cluster Beam Deposition for Optical Thin Films
1988A study has been carried out of the deposition of films of barium fluoride using cluster beam techniques. The effect of different aspects of the deposition process has been assessed including deposition temperature, cluster source geometry and acceleration voltage.

Synthesis of nanocrystalline TiNi thin films by cluster beam deposition
Nanostructured Materials, 1998Nanocrystalline TiNi thin films were produced by cluster beam deposition. A pulsed arc gas aggregation source was used to generate intense and stable supersonic cluster beams. With this technique, films characterized by crystallite sizes of a few tens of nanometers can be obtained without recrystallization by thermal annealing.

Growth of Co clusters on thin films Al2O3∕NiAl(100)
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2006We present a scanning tunnel microscopy study of Co clusters grown through vapor deposition on Al2O3 thin films over NiAl(100) at different coverages and temperatures. Formation of Co clusters was observed at 90, 300, 450, and 570K. At the three lower temperatures, we find narrow cluster size distributions and the mean sizes (with a diameter of 2.6nm ...

Development of Thin Structure Cluster with EL Backlighting
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1989<div class="htmlview paragraph">Stanley has successfully developed a new concept model of analog type automotive cluster aiming for a thin and light weight structure. The cluster is made with a stepping motor and our original developement of segmented thick film EL.</div> <div class="htmlview paragraph">Objectives of Development ...

Fringe Multiplication, Fringe Thinning and Fringe Clustering
2000Isochromatics and isoclinics are the two fringe contours obtained in a photoelastic experiment. Isochromatics are contours of constant principal stress difference and isoclinics are the loci of points along which the principal stress orientation (with respect to a reference axis) is a constant.

Corner clusters in thin soft magnetic layers. III. Conversions in corner clusters
Journal of Applied Physics, 1983The domain structure in thin soft magnetic films is considered as a concatenation of domain-wall clusters, being collections of domain walls that have one intersection line—the so-called cluster knot—in common. The transformations in the domain structure are accompanied by the addition and the disappearance of clusters to and from the configuration ...

Chemical thinning of grape clusters (Vitis vinifera L.)
2017Twelve thinning compounds were tested at 0.1 to 4,000 ppm on 'Carignane' and 'Thompson Seedless' clusters at 4 developmental stages (prebloom, bloom, fruit-set, and 2 weeks after fruit-set). Clusters were usually least sensitive to the compounds ut post fruit-set and, in general, 'Thompson Seedless' was more sensitive than 'Carignane'.
