Nuove Prospettive Tecnologiche e di Servizio per l'Aerospazio

open access: yesGEOmedia, 2018
Advances in technology have split the space community to focus on the miniaturization of conventional satellites, making smaller satellites increasingly popular every day and in recent years several small satellites have been launched (nano, micro and ...

Approximation Algorithms for Bregman Co-clustering and Tensor Clustering

open access: yes, 2008
In the past few years powerful generalizations to the Euclidean k-means problem have been made, such as Bregman clustering [7], co-clustering (i.e., simultaneous clustering of rows and columns of an input matrix) [9,18], and tensor clustering [8,34 ...

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Clustering words

open access: yes, 2012
We characterize words which cluster under the Burrows-Wheeler transform as those words $w$ such that $ww$ occurs in a trajectory of an interval exchange transformation, and build examples of clustering ...

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Potential for Asia-Pacific Countries Innovative Development

open access: yesEconomic and Social Changes: Facts, Trends, Forecast, 2017
The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the new geo-economic situation. Since the end of the 20th century, the vector of global economic development has shifted towards the Asia-Pacific region.

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Data Mining Application in Higher Learning Institutions

open access: yesInformatics in Education, 2008
One of the biggest challenges that higher learning institutions face today is to improve the quality of managerial decisions. The managerial decision making process becomes more complex as the complexity of educational entities increase.

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
