Improved step size adaptation for the MO-CMA-ES [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 12th annual conference on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2010
The multi-objective covariance matrix adaptation evolution strategy (MO-CMA-ES) is an evolutionary algorithm for continuous vector-valued optimization. It combines indicator- based selection based on the contributing hypervolume with the efficient strategy parameter adaptation of the elitist covariance matrix adaptation evolution strategy (CMA-ES ...

Dual Covalent Targeting of STING Cysteines 292/309 Disrupts Functional Oligomerization and Enables Potent Antagonist Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a rational design strategy for STING antagonists by dual covalent targeting of Cys292/309 in its C‐terminal domain, directly preventing functional oligomerization. Through covalent warhead repurposing, we identified P005091 and revealed its unique dual‐cysteine mechanism.

Massively Parallel CMA‐ES With Increasing Population

open access: yesConcurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience
ABSTRACT The Increasing Population Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy (IPOP‐CMA‐ES) algorithm is a reference stochastic optimizer dedicated to blackbox optimization, where no prior knowledge about the underlying problem structure is available.

Covalent Reprogramming of Kinase Binders to Modulate Protein Abundance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrophilic remodeling of a broad‐spectrum kinase binder reveals how subtle chemical changes reprogram protein fate. An acrylamide analog of a multi‐kinase binder selectively stabilizes Aurora kinase A (AURKA) by suppressing its ubiquitination, while a short‐linker variant converts this stabilizer into a degrader.

Development of an efficient system for predicting CRSS ratios of HCP polycrystalline metals using uniaxial loading conditions

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu
Critical resolved shear stress (CRSS) is one of the most important parameters in the field of plasticity in metals, and the CRSS ratios between slip systems govern the plastic anisotropy, workability, and so on.

Mapping the Innovation DNA of Agribusiness Firms: A Multi‐Method Analysis of Strategic Capabilities and Performance

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Innovation is essential for competitiveness in agribusiness facing dynamic environments. This study examines how market orientation, marketing, relational, and social capabilities influence innovation performance. Using data from 751 Spanish firms and a multi‐method approach that integrates Structural Equation Modeling (PLS‐SEM), Necessary ...

Solving satisfiability in fuzzy logics by mixing CMA-ES [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 15th annual conference on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2013
Satisfiability in propositional logic is well researched and many approaches to checking and solving exist. In infinite-valued or fuzzy logics, however, there have only recently been attempts at developing methods for solving satisfiability. In this paper, we propose new benchmark problems and analyse the function landscape of different problem classes,

Advanced Experiment Design Strategies for Drug Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Wang et al. analyze 592 drug development studies published between 2020 and 2024 that applied design of experiments methodologies. The review surveys both classical and emerging approaches—including Bayesian optimization and active learning—and identifies a critical gap between advanced experimental strategies and their practical adoption in ...
