Reproducibility of the CMAP scan
The CMAP scan is a surface EMG method based on the successive activation of motor units. It provides information about reinnervation processes, the number of functional motor units and nerve excitability. The CMAP scan has potential value as a follow-up tool in monitoring disease progression, recovery or aging of the peripheral nerves.

Optimal stimulation settings for CMAP scan registrations [PDF]
Background The CMAP (Compound Muscle Action Potential) scan is a non-invasive electrodiagnostic tool, which provides a quick and visual assessment of motor unit potentials as electrophysiological components that together constitute the CMAP.

Concentric Versus Delta Bipolar Probes for Intraneural Fascicle Selection: A Rabbit Model Study [PDF]
Background:. Bipolar stimulating probes are widely used during intraoperative monitoring in nerve surgery. However, there are no reports comparing different types of bipolar probes.

On convex numerical schemes for inelastic contacts with friction*** [PDF]
This paper reviews the different existing Contact Dynamics schemes for the simulation of granular media, for which the discrete incremental problem is based on the resolution of convex problems.

An acoustic-transport splitting method for the barotropic Baer-Nunziato two-phase flow model* [PDF]
This work focuses on the numerical approximation of the barotropic Baer-Nunziato two-phase flow model. We propose a numerical scheme that relies on an operator splitting method corresponding to a separate treatment of the acoustic and the material ...

Some recent advances on the method of moments in kinetic theory [PDF]
This review presents some recent works on the construction of closure relations for moment systems extracted from a kinetic equation. A rough construction of those closures and the main properties of the resulting systems are described. Especially, based

Estimating motor unit numbers from a CMAP scan
Compound muscle action potential (CMAP) scans are detailed stimulus-response curves which provide information about motor unit properties in neuromuscular disorders. This study assessed a method of automatic motor unit number estimation (MUNE) from 5-min CMAP scans.A preliminary model, derived from the variance and slope of the scan, is refined to fit ...

Wave propagation in random media: beyond Gaussian statistics [PDF]
In this paper we review some aspects of wave propagation in random media. In the physics literature the picture seems simple: for large propagation distances, the wavefield has Gaussian statistics, mean zero, and second-order moments determined by ...

We consider an adaptive multiresolution-based lattice Boltzmann scheme, which we have recently introduced and studied from the perspective of the error control and the theory of the equivalent equations.
