Separable functions in load separation for the ηpland ηplCMODplastic factors estimation

International Journal of Fracture, 2004
The objective of this paper is to develop the load separation method for evaluating the ηpl and ηplCMOD plastic factors used in the J estimation approach based on load versus displacement records. Appropriate forms for the geometry and deformation functions have been suggested from the EPRI Handbook solutions to produce the separable form for the load.

Numerical Simulation and Experimental Verification of CMOD in CT Specimens of TIG Welded AA2219-T87

Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering, 2015
Compact tension (CT) specimen is used to investigate the behavior of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) of preheat-treated tungsten inert gas (TIG) welded aluminum alloy (AA2219-T87) on MTS-810. Filler metal used for weld is AA2319. ASTM E399 standard provides a method to convert crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) data to crack length in CT ...

FIBER Bragg Grating (FBG) sensor for estimation of Crack Mouth Opening Displacement (CMOD) in concrete

Journal of Optics (India), 2015
Crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) is one of the important parameters for characterizing the fracture properties in concrete. Amongst various optical fiber senors, Fiber Bragg gratings are (FBG) being used for structural health monitoring in the recent times. Very few reports exist in literature for use of CMOD estimation using FBG sensors.

CMOD Compliance Solution Determined by Stress Intensity Factor for Single Edge Notched Tension Specimens in End-Clamped Conditions

Volume 5: Materials & Fabrication, 2023
Abstract The oil and gas industry favors to use single edge notched tension (SENT) specimens in the end-clamped conditions to measure less conservative fracture toughness or resistance curves in low constraint conditions. Usually, single specimen test approach is adopted to measure J-integral or crack tip opening displacement (CTOD ...

Dynamic Supply-Demand Balancing Policy for CMoD Fleet

2021 IEEE International Intelligent Transportation Systems Conference (ITSC), 2021
Autonomous Coordinated Mobility on Demand (CMoD) System is expected to revolutionize the contemporary point-to-point transportation system. One major advantage of the CMoD system is its ability to control the supply distribution over the operational area using vehicle rebalancing.

Modeling and CMOD Mapping of Surface-Cracked Wide Plates

2008 7th International Pipeline Conference, Volume 3, 2008
Curved wide plate (CWP) tests are frequently used to measure the tensile stress and strain capacity of pipeline girth welds. The parameters affecting the CWP measurement include specimen geometry and cooling setups. High-quality data is obtained when valid test conditions are confirmed.
