Experimental characterization of CMOS photonic devices [PDF]
Current electrical interconnects in super-computers and high-performance processors present a bottleneck in terms of bandwidth and power consumption. A migration to the optical domain in order to cope with the connectivity between units (e.g.

Silicon Nanowire Mats Enable Advanced Bioelectrical Recordings in Primary DRG Cell Cultures
SiNW mat‐based MEA (NW_MEA) enables continuous intracellular recordings from neurons in primary rat DRG cell cultures, identifying C‐fiber nociceptors. Supported by an astrocyte feeder layer, SiNW mat promotes DRG neuron and glial cell growth, preserving in vivo‐like cell characteristics and allowing drug‐modulated activity monitoring.

Optoelectronic Devices for In‐Sensor Computing
The raw data obtained directly from sensors in the noisy analogue domain is often unstructured, which lacks a predefined format or organization and does not conform to a specific data model. Optoelectronic devices for in‐sensor visual processing can integrate perception, memory, and processing functions in the same physical units, which can compress ...

High-speed multicolor photometry with CMOS cameras [PDF]
We present the results of testing the commercial digital camera Nikon D90 with a CMOS sensor for high-speed photometry with a small telescope Celestron 11" on Peak Terskol. CMOS sensor allows to perform photometry in 3 filters simultaneously that gives a great advantage compared with monochrome CCD detectors.
