This chapter examines the phylum Cnidaria which features a highly diverse assemblage of anemones, corals, jellyfish, and their kin. The phylum consists of 13,300 described living species, all of which are predators (or highly modified parasites) that feature forms of cnidae, polypoid, or medusoid.
