A Compact Noise Model for C-CNTFETs

ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, 2017
In this paper we present a compact noise model for C-CNTFETs implemented in Verilog-A. After a brief description of the main noise sources existing in CNTFETs, which constitute a significant limitation in the design of analogue and logic CNTFETs circuits, we enhance a model, already proposed by us, considering the noise sources.

Novel CNTFET-based reconfigurable logic gate design

Proceedings of the 44th annual conference on Design automation - DAC '07, 2007
This paper describes a dynamically reconfigurable 8-function logic gate (CNT-DR8F) based on a double-gate carbon nanotube field effect transistor (DG-CNTFET). The design is based on a property specific to this device: ambivalence, enabling p-type or n-type behavior depending on the back-gate voltage.

Low noise high frequency CNTFET amplifier

2013 8th International Conference on Design & Technology of Integrated Systems in Nanoscale Era (DTIS), 2013
This paper focuses on performance challenges related to Mos-based systems operating on high frequency ranges. One solution for this issue is to use carbon nanotube transistor (CNTFET) because of their promising performances. Therefore, to improve the device performance at high frequency ranges, designers must reduce the parasitic capacitances by using ...

CNTFET-Based Ternary Logic Gates

2020
In the recent digital designs, there are certain circumstances where energy efficiency and ease is required, and in such situations, ternary logic (or three-valued logic) is favored. Ternary logic is an auspicious supernumerary to the conventional binary (0, 1) logic design techniques as this one is possible to attain straightforwardness and energy ...

Modelling of CNTFETs

2017
About modelling issues, the research on CNTFETs is still at an early stage. Most of the models available in literature are numerical and make use of self-consistency and therefore they cannot be directly implemented in modelling languages for analog and digital circuits, such as SPICE, Verilog or VHDL-AMS. In this chapter we examine the modelling issue,
