Rare events and the CNV — the oddball CNV
International Journal of Psychophysiology, 1992Event-related brain potentials (ERPs), such as Nd and P300, change as a function of the proportion of time if a rare, significant, stimulus occurs. This 'oddball' paradigm has had a significant influence on the interpretation of ERPs in terms of the psychological and information-processing functions they reflect. Interpretations of transient components

Boolean implication networks (Genet) have been utilized to model gene co-expression networks in our previous research. In this study, they are constructed to model the co-occurrence of amplification/deletion events in DNA copy number variations (CNVs) at a genome-wide scale.

We investigated the hypothesis that the development and resolution of CNV waves may, in part at least, reflect time estimation processes in the nervous system. Specifically, we postulated that subjects with a high degree of accuracy in time estimation tasks will show a fast resolution of the negativity following the imperative stimulus (S2).

Detection of CNVs in NGS Data Using VS-CNV
2018Copy number variations have been linked to numerous genetic diseases including cancer, Parkinson's disease, pancreatitis, and lupus. While current best practices for CNV detection often require using microarrays for detecting large CNVs or multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) for gene-sized CNVs, new methods have been developed with ...

Detection of small copy number variations (CNVs) in clinically relevant genes is routinely being used to aid diagnosis. We recently developed a tool, CNV-RF, capable of detecting clinically relevant CNVs with a high degree of sensitivity. CNV-RF implementation was designed for small gene panels and did not scale to large gene panels.

Abstract Thirty-five young (ages 18–32 years), 38 older (ages 55–69 years), and 23 elderly (ages 70–85 years) individuals were tested in two CNV paradigms: (1) a constant-foreperiod reaction time task consisting of a light flash-tone-key press sequence (control trials); (2) a divided-attention (50%-letters) task in which two types of trials occurred ...

The frontal CNV: Its dissimilarity to CNVs recorded from other sites
Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1975Two new techniques were used to study the distribution of the CNV recorded from the scalp of humans. One technique was for the suppression of eye movements and the elimination of them fron the average data. The other technique was for the recognition of differences in the form of CNVs recorded from different sites.
