A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Rough co‐citation as a measure of relationship to expand co‐citation networks for scientific paper searches [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Association for Information Science and Technology, 2016
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a “rough co‐citation”, which is a measure of relationship to expand co‐citation networks so as to include new relevant documents. A rough co‐citation relationship is a linkage between a pair of documents which are cited by two other documents in a similar citation context.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...
