Modeling and Analysis of Co-immobilized Aerobic/Anaerobic Mixed Cultures

Biotechnology Progress, 1998
Systems of co-immobilized microorganisms are highly effective for conducting two or more consecutive bioprocesses within close proximity of the source and the sink of substrates. In this work, a general model of a co-immobilized aerobic/anaerobic bacterial system was developed and analyzed.

A Bifunctional Polymeric Coating for the Co-Immobilization of Proteins and Peptides on Microarray Substrates

2022
The analytical performance of the microarray technique in screening the affinity and reactivity of molecules toward a specific target is highly affected by the coupling chemistry adopted to bind probes to the surface. However, the surface functionality limits the biomolecules that can be attached to the surface to a single type of molecule, thus ...

Production, characterization and (co-)immobilization of dextranase from Penicillium aculeatum

Biotechnology Letters, 2008
Fermentation kinetics of Penicillium aculeatum ATCC 10409 demonstrated that fungal growth and dextranase release are decoupled. Inoculation by conidia or mycelia resulted in identical kinetics. Two new isoenzymes of the dextranase were characterized regarding their kinetic constants, pI, MW, activation energy and stabilities.

Maltose biosensing based on co-immobilization of α-glucosidase and pyranose oxidase

Bioelectrochemistry, 2010
A new bi-enzymatic system was designed by co-immobilization of alpha-glucosidase (AG) and pyranose oxidase (PyOx) for maltose analysis. The immobilization was carried out by cross-linking enzyme mixture, chitosan (CHIT) and carbon nanotube (CNT) via glutaraldehyde.

Co-immobilization of enoate reductase with a cofactor-recycling partner enzyme

Enzyme and Microbial Technology, 2018
Herein we established co-immobilized methods for enoate reductases (ERs) and glucose dehydrogenase (GDH), forming a cofactor regeneration system. In cross-linked enzyme aggregates (CLEAs), ammonium sulfate and oxidized dextran were selected as a precipitant and a cross-linker, respectively. In biomimetic immobilization (BI), ER-GDH-silica particles (ER-

Co-Immobilization and Interaction of Heparin and Plasmin on Collageno-Elastic Tubes

Biomaterials, Artificial Cells and Artificial Organs, 1990
Heparin and plasmin were co-immobilized on collageno-elastic tubes (CETs) in order to develop a thromboresistant and fibrinolytic vascular prosthesis. The mutual interaction between heparin and plasmin both in the soluble and in the immobilized state was studied. The immobilization condition rendering maximum co-immobilized heparin and plasmin activity

Precision Engineering of the Co‐immobilization of Enzymes for Cascade Biocatalysis

Angewandte Chemie International Edition
Abstract The design and orderly layered co‐immobilization of multiple enzymes on resin particles remain challenging. In this study, the SpyTag/SpyCatcher binding pair was fused to the N‐terminus of an alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and an aldo‐keto reductase (AKR), respectively. A non‐canonical amino acid (ncAA),

Co-immobilization Mechanism of Cellulase and Xylanase on a Reversibly Soluble Polymer

Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2010
Cellulase and xylanase from Trichoderma reesei were immobilized simultaneously on Eudragit L-100, a reversibly soluble polymer. The effects of polymer concentration and polymer precipitation pH on enzyme activity recovery were investigated at an enzyme complex concentration of 1%.

Enhancement of artificial juxtacrine stimulation of insulin by co‐immobilization with adhesion factors

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1997
Insulin was co-immobilized with a cell adhesion factor--fibronectin or polyallylamine--on a surface-hydrolyzed poly(methyl methacrylate) film. Chinese hamster ovary cells overexpressing human insulin receptors were cultured on the film in the absence of serum or soluble proteins.

[Progress in co-immobilization of multiple enzymes].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2015
Enzyme immobilization is the core technology of biocatalysis. Over the past few decades, enzyme immobilization research mainly focused on single enzyme immobilization. In recent years, multi-enzyme immobilization attracts more and more attention as it could increase the local concentration of reaction and improve the reaction yield.
