Co-seismic deformation of the 2017Ms7.0 Jiuzhaigou Earthquake observed with GaoFen-3 interferometry
The first application of GaoFen-3 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry to monitoring co-seismic deformation of an earthquake is presented in this paper.

Deep learning model for co-seismic response detection of fixed-point deformation data
Co-seismic response identification of fixed-point deformation data currently relies on manual selection, and no automatic co-seismic response detection method has yet been applied.

A Bottom‐Up Design Framework for Multifunctional Lattice Metamaterials
This study introduces a generative AI framework for designing multifunctional lattice metamaterials. The method combines 3D Gaussian voxel generation with deep learning, enabling greater design freedom and structural performance. The optimized lattice metamaterials achieve enhanced energy absorption by 40–200% compared to conventional structures and ...

Ground deformation and source geometry of the 30 October 2016 Mw 6.5 Norcia earthquake (Central Italy) investigated through seismological data, DInSAR measurements, and numerical modelling [PDF]
We investigate the Mw 6.5 Norcia (Central Italy) earthquake by exploiting seismological data, DInSAR measurements, and a numerical modelling approach. In particular, we first retrieve the vertical component (uplift and subsidence) of the displacements ...

Co-seismic deformation of the 2010 Mw6.9 Yushu earthquake from InSAR images
Abstract:Co-seismic ground-surface deformation of the Yushu earthquake on April 14, 2010 is studied on the basis of interferometry principle by using InSAR images from ALOS PALSAR and ENVISAT ASAR pairs. The observed maximum line-of-sight displacement is 54 cm, which is equivalent to a sinistral strike slip of 180 cm on the surface.

Active Metamaterials with Tunable Shear Nonreciprocity and Nonlinear Dynamics
Active gear‐based mechanical metamaterials enable simultaneous control of translational and torsional stiffnesses by 30–100×, break shear reciprocity under positive versus negative loads, broadly tune resonant frequencies, and offer programmable dynamic responses.

Co-seismic deformation during the M_w 7.3 Aqaba earthquake (1995) from ERS-SAR interferometry [PDF]
The M_w 7.3 1995 Aqaba earthquake is the largest instrumental earthquake along the Dead Sea Fault. We complement previous seismological studies by analyzing co‐seismic ground displacement from differential interferometry computed from ERS images spanning
