Co2+-Co2+ interaction in CoNb2O6
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1976Neutron diffraction studies of CoNb2O6 powder at 2°K indicate an ordered antiferromagnetic structure of the Co2+ spins(1). The transition temperature has not been observed in the succeptibility and field induced magnetization measurements we took on flux grown single crystals of CoNb2O6 from 3.3°K to 300°K. The crystalographic space group of CoNb2O6 is

Vibrational relaxation of CO2 in CO2-N2 and CO2-O2 mixtures
Physica, 1974Abstract Vibrational relaxation in CO 2 -N 2 and CO 2 -O 2 mixtures is studied via the optic-acoustic effect. The relaxation of the bending vibration of CO 2 by N 2 and O 2 can be explained by a simple one-step relaxation. For CO 2 -N 2 a relaxation time of 12.8 ± 1.5 μs atm is obtained, for CO 2 -O 2 8.8 ± 0.3 μs atm.

Determination of ECS scaling parameters for CO2-CO2 and CO2-N2
Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 1991Abstract The influence of the number of rotational levels accounted for in the determination of ECS scaling parameters is analyzed for pure CO2 and CO2-N2 mixtures. A drastic change of these parameters occurs for a critical value of rotational levels and leads to a new set of parameters. The consequences of this new determination on absorption in the

CO2 binding in the (quinoline-CO2)− anionic complex
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2015We have studied the (quinoline-CO2)− anionic complex by a combination of mass spectrometry, anion photoelectron spectroscopy, and density functional theory calculations. The (quinoline-CO2)− anionic complex has much in common with previously studied (N-heterocycle-CO2)− anionic complexes both in terms of geometric structure and covalent bonding ...

Intermolecular Interactions in the (CO2)2, N2-CO2 and CO-CO2 Complexes
Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 2004Interaction energies of the most stable structures of the title complexes are calculated using the supermolecule CCSD(T) and MP4 methods and aug-cc-pVXZ (X = D, T, Q) basis sets extended by a set of midbond functions centered in the middle of the intermolecular bond.

Materials Performance in CO2 and Supercritical CO2
2020Past and current gas-cooled nuclear reactors rely on CO2-rich gases as a coolant to transfer heat from the reactor core, while future reactors may utilize a supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle for power production. The alloys used to construct these systems can experience serious corrosion issues induced by CO2 in the high temperature portions of the ...

Excitation of CO2+ by electron impact on CO2
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1973Consideration of a discrepancy concerning the correct value of the cross section for excitation of the CO2(+) B state by electron impact on CO2. It is suggested that the reason for the disparate results obtained by various authors for the B state can be traced to a calibration error due to scattered light.

Abstract Intramolecular vibration-vibration energy transfer cross sections have been calculated for CO 2 (00 0 1) + Ne and CO 2 (00 0 1) + CO 2 (00 0 0) over the temperature range 100–3000 K. It is shown that (00 0 1) → (11 1 0) is the most important process at lower temperatures, while (00 0 1) → (10 0 0) dominates others at higher temperatures. The

Pathophysiological and clinical aspects of the CO2 pneumoperitoneum (CO2-PP)
Surgical Endoscopy, 1997Experimental studies demonstrated a severe cardiac load of the CO2 pneumoperitoneum caused by an accelerated after- and a decreased preload. Patients displaying cardiovascular risks are therefore often rejected from laparoscopic surgery. Hence, the pathophysiological changes and the intraoperative risk of the CO2 pneumoperitoneum in high-risk ...

CO2-helium and CO2-neon mixtures at high pressures
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2013The properties of mixtures of carbon dioxide with helium or neon have been investigated as a function of CO2 concentration and pressure up to 30 GPa at room temperature. The binary phase diagrams of these mixtures are determined over the full range of CO2 concentrations using visual observations and Raman scattering measurements.
