Microbial CO2 fixation and biotechnology in reducing industrial CO2 emissions
Archives of Microbiology, 2022The rapid acceleration in emissions of inevitably generated CO2 due to numerous activities mainly anthropogenic have devastating environmental effects leading to climatic concerns. Hence, significant, sustainable approaches should be developed for reduction of CO2 emission targets, balancing the existing needs of the current population.

CO2 fixation in the nervous tissue IV. CO2 fixation and citrate metabolism in lobster nerve
Experimental Brain Research, 1966The specific activity of citric acid of the lobster nerve which was incubated in Ringer-bicarbonate solution containing 14C-bicarbonate was determined. The specific activity of citric acid was higher than that of malic acid by a factor of 2.5. The citric acid obtained from the lobster nerve was degraded with an improved method which is described in ...

CO2 fixation in the nervous system V. CO2 fixation and citrate metabolism in rabbit nerve
Experimental Brain Research, 1966The extent of CO2 fixation in the sciatic nerve of the rabbit was determined. The specific activitiy of citric acid was higher than that of glutamic, aspartic, and malic acids, and the specific activity of citric acid obtained from the 2 hour incubation nerve was close to 1/3 of that of the CO2 in the medium.

Control analysis of photosynthetic CO2 fixation
Photosynthesis Research, 1990The potential of control analysis to aid our understanding of regulation and control of photosynthetic carbon metabolism is investigated. Methods of metabolic control analysis are used to determine flux control coefficients of photosynthetic reactions from enzyme elasticities.

Photosynthesis: Getting it together for CO2 fixation
Nature Plants, 2015Photosynthesis underpins life on earth and is often limited by the activity of the CO2-fixing enzyme Rubisco. New structural and functional insights into one of Rubisco's assembly chaperones offer opportunities to advance technologies tailored to improve Rubisco performance.

Factors affecting CO2 fixation by chloroplasts
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, 1961Abstract The low rate of CO 2 uptake by spinach chloroplasts may be due to the loss of photosynthetic pyridine nucleotide reductase during isolation of the particle. The addition of orthophosphate, ADP and Mg 2+ accelerates TPN reduction, which may account for an earlier observation that small amounts of phosphate stimulate CO 2 reduction by ...

Seven strains of extremely halophilic bacteria (Halobacterium spp., Halococcus spp., and Haloarcula sp.) fixed CO2 under light and dark conditions. Light enhanced CO2 fixation in Halobacterium halobium but inhibited it in Halobacterium volcanii and Haloarcula strain GN-1.
