Current CO2 Laser Surgery

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1982
With the development of suitable instrumentation, human engineered to fulfill the requirements of the clinical surgeon and designed to fit in with the physical conditions prevailing in the operating theater, laser surgery has advanced rapidly in the past few years and shows signs of even more rapid progress and general acceptance as its application and

Dynamics of CO2/CO2 Laser

Nonlinear Dynamics in Optical Systems, 1990
Numerically we study the five-dimensional dynamical system which describes a laser with saturable absorber. The bifurcation diagrams are plotted for the parameters corresponding to real CO2-laser with CO2 as the saturable absorber. The influence of external noise is investigated.

Longitudinally Excited CO2 Laser with Short Laser Pulse like TEA CO2 Laser

Journal of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2009
We have developed a longitudinally excited CO2 laser with a short laser pulse similar to that of TEA and Q-switched CO2 lasers. A capacitor transfer circuit with a low shunt resistance provided rapid discharge and a sharp spike pulse with a short pulse tail.

Co2 laser stapedotomy

Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, 1998
This article reviews the preoperative evaluation for stapes surgery including the history, physical examination, hearing evaluation, and patient counseling. In addition, principles of a safe surgical approach using the CO 2 laser are outlined for the initial otosclerosis procedure, identification and correction of surgical complications, and revision ...

CO2 Waveguide Lasers

Applied Physics Letters, 1972
Compact cw single-mode CO2 : He : N2 lasers with a 1-mm-diam dielectric waveguide discharge tube have exhibited gains of up to 37 dB/m, volumetric power outputs of 15 W/cm3, and saturation parameters of 3600 W/cm2 with a coolant temperature of −70°C. With tap water cooling at 20°C the corresponding values were 24 dB/m, 9.5 W/cm3, and 2100 W/cm2. All of
