Accurate Phase Equilibrium Measurements of CO2 Mixtures

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2014
AbstractA new setup for accurate measurement of phase behavior of CO2-rich mixtures relevant for CCS has been designed, covering a range between - 60 and 150°C in temperature and 0.4 and 20MPa in pressure. In order to design safe and efficient infrastructure for CCS, the exact properties of these mixtures are required, and currently there are large ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

TRACE MEASUREMENT OF CO, CH4, AND CO2 IN HIGH PURITY GASES BY GC-FID-METHANIZER: METHOD VALIDATION AND UNCERTAINTY ESTIMATION

open access: yesScientific Study & Research: Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Industry, 2017
In this study, method validation and uncertainty estimation for the measurement of trace amounts gas impurities such as carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), and carbon dioxide (CO2) using gas chromatography flame ionization detector with methanizer (GC ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Monitoring Atmospheric, Soil, and Dissolved CO2 Using a Low-Cost, Arduino Monitoring Platform (CO2-LAMP): Theory, Fabrication, and Operation

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2019
Variability of CO2 concentrations within the Earth system occurs over a wide range of time and spatial scales. Resolving this variability and its drivers in terrestrial and aquatic environments ultimately requires high-resolution spatial and temporal ...

Automatic Measurement of Alveolar CO2 in Small Animals

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1949
SummaryAn infra-red CO2 analyzer having a measurement rate of seven analyses per second is described for continuous C02 tension determination over the expiration time (or volume). The value recorded from the last portion of expired air is regarded as “the alveolar C02 tension” if a plateau has developed during expiration.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
