Determination of CO2 Carbon Isotopes by Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy and Its Influencing Factors

open access: yesYankuang ceshi
Precise measurement of carbon isotopes is crucial for investigating the sources, cycling, and emissions of carbon in water bodies. Common methods for carbon isotope measurement primarily include mass spectrometry and optical spectroscopy.

Airborne observation of CO2 mixing ratio in the Arctic troposphere and lower stratosphere

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 2002
Tropospheric and lower stratospheric CO2 mixing ratios were measured onboard an aircraft in the Arctic Airborne Measurement Program 1998. Steep vertical gradients in CO2 mixing ratio were observed in the lower stratosphere.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Measurement and parameterisation of the air-sea CO2 flux in high winds

open access: yes, 2011
During a three year occupation of Station Mike (66°N 2°E), the Norwegian Ocean Weather Ship Polarfront was equipped with a range of meteorological and seastate measuring instruments, including the autonomous air-sea flux system “AutoFlux” (Yelland et al.,

Hybrid fiber/bulk DIAL-Doppler lidar for CO2 and wind measurement at 2.05 µm [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We report on the development of a DIfferential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) with coherent detection using a hybrid fiber/bulk laser for CO2 and wind measurement at 2.05 µm. Peak power is limited at 0.6 kW by Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in the fibered part.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The CO2 inhibition of terrestrial isoprene emission significantly affects future ozone projections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Simulations of future tropospheric composition often include substantial increases in biogenic isoprene emissions arising from the Arrhenius-like leaf emission response and warmer surface temperatures, and from enhanced vegetation productivity in ...
