Grindability Studies on Blended Coals of High-Ash Indian Coals with Low-Ash Imported Coals

International Journal of Coal Preparation and Utilization, 2017
ABSTRACTThe study investigates the Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI) values for binary blends of high-ash Indian coals and low-ash imported coals. The coals were selected in such a way that their grindability values were not closely spaced for studying the effect of blending in the HGI of coal blends.

Ash Composition Influence on Fusibility of Coal Ash

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
The coal of Zichang was selected as the sample coal, the physical properties of the ash is analyzed with ICP-AES. The ash fusion temperature was researched by adding different basic oxide contents. The results show that the general trend is decrease firstly, and then increase when adding basic oxides.

Oxygen in coal ash: a simplified approach to the analysis of ash and mineral matter in coal

Fuel, 1977
Abstract Oxygen was determined accurately in eight U.S. Bureau of Mines coal ash samples A, B, D, F, G, I, and J, NBS coal fly ash 1633 reference material, and two low-temperature ashes (LTA) from lllinois State Geological Survey. The method uses fast-neutron activation (FNA) analysis employing a dual counting and irradiation system which is ...
