Dilithium dialuminium trisilicate phase obtained using coal bottom ash

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2007
Abstract The Li2Al2Si3O10 glass-ceramics well crystallized and with a regular morphology was produced starting from a mixture of Li2CO3, TiO2, Al2O3 and coal bottom ash, after reducing the magnetite phase content. Its measured thermal expansion coefficient in the temperatures range from 25 °C to 300 °C is α(25–300) = −23.4 × 10−7 °C−1. This value is ≈

Strength characterization and sustainability assessment of coal bottom ash concrete

Environmental Science and Pollution Research
Coal bottom ash (CBA) which is waste and environment contaminant has been used in grinded and raw form as replacement of Portland cement (PC) and natural fine aggregates (NFA) in concrete. The combined effect of grinding period (GP) (2-10 h), grinded CBA (GCBA) (10-30%), and raw CBA (0-50%) on strength and microstructural characteristics was ...

Conversion of coal-fired bottom ash to fuel and construction materials

Environmental Technology, 2017
In this study, solid wastes taken from Seyitomer coal-fired power plant bottom ashes were subjected to experimental research to obtain a carbon-rich fraction. The possible recycling opportunities of remaining inorganic fraction in the cement and concrete industry was also investigated.

Novel coal bottom ash waste composites for sustainable construction

Construction and Building Materials, 2016
Abstract The construction industry generates large amounts of greenhouse gases, which negatively impact the environment and society. International actions have increased to reduce the carbon footprint of this industry. A way to achieve this target is by promoting a sustainable construction industry e.g., by recycling bottom ash waste for producing ...
