Numerical simulation study on distribution law of respirable dust concentration and its relationship with turbulence intensity in fully mechanized mining face

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2021
By using the fluid dynamics software FLUENT, the 3D numerical simulations of the concentration distribution and motion law of the respirable dust in 22410 fully mechanized mining face of Shendong Halagou Coal Mine were carried out by the two-phase ...

Associations of Outdoor Air Pollution With Incidence of Cancers Other Than Lung Cancer in a Large US Prospective Cohort

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Associations between outdoor air pollution and cancers other than lung cancer remain unclear, particularly in the context of tobacco use. Here, the authors assessed possible links between ambient air pollutant exposure and incidence of 20 non‐lung cancers among adults followed over a 25‐year period in the United States.

Additives to Coal-Based Fuel Pellets for the Intensification of Combustion and Reduction in Anthropogenic Gas Emissions

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Cylinder-shaped fuel pellets that were 3 mm in diameter and 3 mm in height, with a mass of 20 mg, were produced by compressing dry coal processing waste under the pressure of 5 MPa. The first group of pellets from coal dust with a particle size less than

Study on flame fractal characteristics of coal dust explosion at the decompression position of Hartmann tube

open access: yesScientific Reports
The explosion of coal dust is powerful and has a wide range of spread, which can easily cause mass death and injury. In this paper, the flame microstructure and propagation characteristics of coal dust explosion are recorded by high-speed photography ...

The Application of Hydrochar Composite Briquettes for Sustainable Slag Foaming in the Electric Arc Furnace Process

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Hydrochar‐mill‐scale briquettes with varying C/O molar ratios (0.07–0.90) have been tested at 1650 °C to evaluate their slag foaming performance for electric arc furnace application. All seven briquette recipes developed succeed in promoting slag foaming.

Foamed Concrete Sealing Materials for Coal Seam Gas Drainage Boreholes: A Review

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the sealing performance of foamed concrete in gas drainage boreholes. By comparing leakage pathways (a, c) with sealed systems (b, d), the research demonstrates how foamed concrete effectively fills mining‐induced fractures and resists deformation.

Identification by Raman spectroscopy of Mg–Fe content of olivine samples after impact at 6kms?1 onto aluminium foil and aerogel: In the laboratory and in Wild-2 cometary samples [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Olivine, (Mg, Fe)2[SiO4], is a common mineral in extraterrestrial materials, whose Mg–Fe content varies from the end-members Forsterite (Mg2SiO4: denoted ‘Fo’) to Fayalite (Fe2SiO4: denoted ‘Fa’), together with minor quantities of Ca, Cr, Mn and Ni ...
