Coalitional stability in structured environments [PDF]

open access: possibleInternational Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2012
In many real-world settings, the structure of the environment constrains the formation of coalitions among agents. Therefore, examining the stability of formed coalition structures in such settings is of natural interest. We address this by considering core-stability within various models of cooperative games with structure.

Searching for optimal coalition structures

Proceedings Fourth International Conference on MultiAgent Systems, 2002
Coalition formation has been a very active area of research in multiagent systems. Most of this research has concentrated on decentralized procedures that allow self-interested agents to negotiate the formation of coalitions and division of coalition payoffs.

A coalitional value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2015
Abstract In this paper, we shall study another coalitional value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure, which is named the proportional coalitional Shapley value. A generalized form of the proportional coalitional Shapley value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure is considered, which can be regarded as a generalization of ...

Approximate Coalition Structure Generation

Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2010
Coalition formation is a fundamental problem in multi-agent systems. In characteristic function games (CFGs), each coalition C of agents is assigned a value indicating the joint utility those agents will receive if C is formed. CFGs are an important class of cooperative games; however, determining the optimal coalition structure ...

COALITION GOVERNMENTS AND THEIR STRUCTURES IN TURKEY

Proceedings of the 22nd International Academic Conference, 2016
A coalition refers to an alliance of two or more political parties to form a government and to perceive common interests for a continuance of a parliamentary term. In general, if no political party achieved an absolute majority of mandates in general elections, a coalition government will be formed.

Fuzzy coalitional core for fuzzy games with coalition structures

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014
In the framework of fuzzy games with coalitional structures, the fuzzy coalitional core is proposed, which can be regarded as the generalization of the crisp coalitional core. It proves that the fuzzy coalitional core has the same polyhedrical structure as the crisp coalitional core.

Evolutionarily Stable Coalition Structure

Nonlinear Dynamics, Psychology, and Life Sciences, 2002
Summary: We analyze the formation and stability of coalitions for a situation where finitely many individuals form different coalitions and their payoffs depend on the consequence of a noncooperative game with different coalitions, and examine the moving path of individuals among various coalitions.
