Evolutionarily Stable Coalition Structure
Nonlinear Dynamics, Psychology, and Life Sciences, 2002Summary: We analyze the formation and stability of coalitions for a situation where finitely many individuals form different coalitions and their payoffs depend on the consequence of a noncooperative game with different coalitions, and examine the moving path of individuals among various coalitions.

Probabilistic Coalition Structure Theories
Journal of Conflict Resolution, 1998This article reports a comparative test of the central-union theory in four-person sidepayment games. Predictions by two variants of central-union theory (CU-1 and CU-2) are tested vis-à-vis predictions by three other solutions (the equal excess model, the Myerson-Shapley solution, and the kernel).

A coalitional value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2015Abstract In this paper, we shall study another coalitional value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure, which is named the proportional coalitional Shapley value. A generalized form of the proportional coalitional Shapley value for fuzzy games with a coalition structure is considered, which can be regarded as a generalization of crisp ...

Robust Coalition Structure Generation
2018How to form effective coalitions is an important issue in multi-agent systems. Coalition Structure Generation (\(\mathsf {CSG}\)) involves partitioning a set of agents into coalitions so that the social surplus (i.e. the sum of the rewards obtained by each coalition) is maximized.

Reducing coalition structures via agreement specification
Proceedings of the fourth international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems, 2005The concept of power plays an important role in the social sciences and Castelfranchi [4] emphasizes the importance of this concept for multiagent systems. In [2] we build upon this work by distinguishing four viewpoints on multiagent systems: a mind structure, a power structure, a dependence structure and a coalition structure.

Searching for optimal coalition structures
Proceedings Fourth International Conference on MultiAgent Systems, 2002Coalition formation has been a very active area of research in multiagent systems. Most of this research has concentrated on decentralized procedures that allow self-interested agents to negotiate the formation of coalitions and division of coalition payoffs.

Conjuncturally Stable Coalition Structures
1980We consider social organizations and conflicts concerning the distribution of resources among the members of such organizations. Cooperative solutions of conflicts are defined in a manner similar to the one used in mathematical coalition games. As organizational structures manifest themselves through the coalition possibilities which they impose on the
