Opinion: Gavage Administration of MXene as a Route‐Specific Alternative to Intravenous Injection into the Bloodstream of Laboratory Animals for Reducing Systemic Nanotoxicity Risks in Immunosuppression and Post‐Transplantation Models with Bile Acid Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Recent studies reported immunosuppressive properties of specific MXene nanomaterials. Their intravenous injection into the bloodstream of laboratory animals has been a common delivery method to suppress systemic inflammation and prevent transplant rejection.

Cobalt-Based Catalysts for CO Preferential Oxidation

open access: yes, 2019
In this work, catalysts based oncobalt supported on ZrO2 and CeO2, and CoCeMnOx were studiedfor the CO preferential oxidation (COPrOx) in rich-hydrogen stream able to feedfuel cells. Among them, the CoCeMnOx formulation showed the highest COconversion at low temperatures, while the cobalt oxide supported on ceriapresented the best selectivity toward ...

Alkaline Leaching: A Facile Surface Activation Strategy to Improve the Reactivity of Air Electrodes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that alkaline leaching of PrBa0.8Ca0.2Co2O5+δ under anodic bias selectively removes Ba and Ca, forming a cobalt‐rich and amorphous layer. The modified surface significantly boosts ORR activity, offering a simple and effective strategy to improve electrochemical device performance.
