Linear Economy, the dominant model in the world, does not contribute to environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Global actions have not been enough to achieve sustainable development. The current Cobb-Douglas economic model operates in

In order to meet the needs of water-saving society development, the system dynamics method and the Cobb–Douglas (C–D) production function were combined to build a supply and demand model for urban industrial water use. In this model, the industrial water

Existing research on construction time-cost tradeoff issues rarely explore the origin of the crashing cost. Crashing cost function was either assumed without much justification, or came from historical data of some real projects.

The Cobb-Douglas Marriage Matching Function: Marriage Matching with Peer and Scale Effects
Across states, there is little correlation between a state’s marriage rate or cohabitation rate and own population. Within states, there is a positive (no) correlation between a state’s marriage (cohabitation) rate and its population growth rate.

On approximate Cobb-Douglas production functions [PDF]
We introduce a new type of production function, called approximate Cobb-Douglas function, by a perturbation of Euler’s partial differential equation characterizing homogeneous function. We show that for every approximate Cobb-Douglas function, there exist an exact Cobb-Douglas function near it.
