REFLECTIONS ON THE ADAPTATION OF THE COBB-DOUGLAS FUNCTION TO WORK IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY STARTING WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A BIODIGESTER IN SÃO JOSÉ DOS PINHAIS

open access: yesRevista Tempo do Mundo, 2022
Linear Economy, the dominant model in the world, does not contribute to environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Global actions have not been enough to achieve sustainable development. The current Cobb-Douglas economic model operates in

On randomized Cobb-Douglas production function

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract The paper considers a Cobb-Douglas function with n random elasticities. A theorem on the concavity and strict concavity of such a function is proved.

Urban Industrial Water Supply and Demand: System Dynamic Model and Simulation Based on Cobb–Douglas Function

open access: yesSustainability, 2019
In order to meet the needs of water-saving society development, the system dynamics method and the Cobb–Douglas (C–D) production function were combined to build a supply and demand model for urban industrial water use. In this model, the industrial water

A Method for Estimating Output Elasticity of Input Factors in Cobb-Douglas Production Function and Measuring Agricultural Technological Progress

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
When using the Cobb-Douglas (C-D) production function to measure the contribution rate of agricultural technological progress (ATP), it is necessary to estimate the output elasticity coefficient (OEC) of each input factor in C-D production function.

Multi-objective time-cost optimization using Cobb-Douglas production function and hybrid genetic algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2016
Existing research on construction time-cost tradeoff issues rarely explore the origin of the crashing cost. Crashing cost function was either assumed without much justification, or came from historical data of some real projects.

The Cobb-Douglas Marriage Matching Function: Marriage Matching with Peer and Scale Effects

open access: yesJournal of Labor Economics, 2021
Across states, there is little correlation between a state’s marriage rate or cohabitation rate and own population. Within states, there is a positive (no) correlation between a state’s marriage (cohabitation) rate and its population growth rate.

Evaluation of human capital using the example of the chemical and petrochemical industry of the republic of Kazakhstan using the Cobb-Douglas production function

open access: yesХабаршысы. Экономика сериясы, 2023
The issues discussed in this article are related to the development of a methodology for assessing the effectiveness of human capital at enterprises in the chemical (petrochemical) industry. The formation of the industry in the future also depends on the

On approximate Cobb-Douglas production functions [PDF]

open access: yesCarpathian Journal of Mathematics, 2014
We introduce a new type of production function, called approximate Cobb-Douglas function, by a perturbation of Euler’s partial differential equation characterizing homogeneous function. We show that for every approximate Cobb-Douglas function, there exist an exact Cobb-Douglas function near it.

A study of potential output and output gap in the Czech Republic

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2012
Analysis of economic cycle is of enormous importance for monitoring economic output and explaining price and wage inflation. It provides essential information for shaping economic and monetary policy of central authorities.
