How Strategic Leaders Drive Firms in Ecosystems: Envisioning Value, Orchestrating Knowledge, and Shifting Roles

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract Research on business ecosystems has illuminated how ecosystems emerge, evolve, and transform, revealing ecosystem‐level dynamics and the central actors that orchestrate them. Yet, it is individual firms that continuously attempt to establish and shift the roles they play within ecosystems through the vision and choices of their strategic ...

Driven by risk: Understanding reference‐dependent preferences using simulated auto racing

open access: yesJournal of Risk and Insurance, EarlyView.
Abstract Using data from over 56,000 simulated auto races worldwide, we analyze risk‐taking at the margins, consistent with reference‐dependent preferences. We show that participants' risk‐taking changes when a desired intermittent outcome is presented, sometimes at the expense of a more favorable expected end state.

Bridging the implementation gap in MCABC inventory management: from a taxonomy to practical archetypes

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, Page 1172-1211, March 2027.
Abstract Despite increasing demands for resilient and sustainable supply chains, inventory management often relies on outdated single‐criterion analyses. While multi‐criteria ABC (MCABC) analyses provide a theoretically mature assessment of resilience‐sustainability‐benefit trade‐offs in inventory, their adoption remains limited due to fragmented ...

Bi‐Model Deep Learning Architectures: A Systematic Review of Fusion Strategies and Design Taxonomies

open access: yesConcurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Volume 38, Issue 21, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Bi‐model deep learning, the coordinated use of two complementary models or modalities, has emerged as a powerful paradigm for improving predictive accuracy and robustness in complex real‐world applications. However, existing research remains scattered across domain‐specific studies, with no unified account of the architectural patterns, fusion

The Architecture of Catastrophe: A Structural Explanation for Endogenous Pilot Error

open access: yesSystem Dynamics Review, Volume 42, Issue 4, October/December 2026.
ABSTRACT Aerodynamic stall remains a primary cause of commercial aviation fatalities, often driven by improper pilot responses during emergencies. Traditional safety investigations classify fatal cockpit actions through static error taxonomies, attributing accidents to individual pilot judgment.
