Hemicellulose Extraction from Coconut Shell

open access: yesApplied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Hemicelluloses were extracted from coconut shell by ultrasound-assisted alkaline solution of hydrogen peroxide method. Chemical composition and physicochemical properties of the hemicelluloses obtained were elucidated by FT-IR spectra analysis and molecular determination.

Synthesis and Characterization of Coconut Shell Ash

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2019
Synthesizing Coconut Shell Ash (CSA) is a kind of manufacturing the powder form ash material which can be incorporated in the composite as reinforcement. This ash material used to improve the mechanical properties of metals when added in Metal Matrix Composite's (MMC's) based preparation. The fabrication of CSA powder is the preparatory functional part,

The Research of Coconut Shell Crusher

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
Hainan Island has a good reputation for "Coconut Island". The production of coconut is more than 80 percent in China. However, the development of coconut industry in Hainan lags behind when compared to other industries, because the comprehensive use ratio of coconut is still less.

The evolution of the pore structure of coconut shells during the preparation of coconut shell-based activated carbons

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2008
The pore structure of coconut shells from two sections at different stages during the preparation of coconut shell-based activated carbons were examined under scanning electron microscope (SEM). Raw coconut shells, dried shells, carbonized coconut shells and activated carbons from the same batch of coconut shells were examined.

The Coconut-Shell Clock

Time & Society, 1992
Kelantanese peasants of the Malay Peninsula maintain a traditional agrarian culture that treats time inexactly and as of less importance than many social considerations. Kelantanese are conscious of their lax treatment of time compared to western models and this consciousness furthers their awareness of their cultural identity. In addition to the issue

Effect of surfactant on hydrothermal carbonization of coconut shell

Bioresource Technology, 2019
The effect of surfactant on the hydrothermal carbonization performance and pseudo-lignin formation were investigated. Especially, the fuel properties and combustion characteristics of hydrochar and solid product were determined. Furthermore, the mechanism of surfactant acted in hydrothermal carbonization was also identified in this article. The results
