Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) kernel, oil and meal

1996
The coconut palm (Cocos nucifera) is a monocotyledonous stately tree about 15–30 m tall, 20–60 cm in diameter and usually unbranched. Some trees are, however, dwarf and have branches. The botany of the coconut has been fully discussed by Child (1974). The fruit is ovoid in shape and is a fibrous drupe.
