CODD

Proceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2015
The construction and development of the so-called Big Data systems has occupied centerstage in the data management community in recent years. However, there has been comparatively little attention paid to the testing of such systems, an essential pre-requisite for successful deployment. This is surprising given that

CODD

Proceedings of the Fifth International Workshop on Testing Database Systems, 2012
Effective design and testing of database engines and applications is predicated on the ability to easily construct alternative scenarios with regard to the database contents. A limiting factor, however, is that the time and/or space overheads incurred in creating and maintaining these databases may render it infeasible to model the desired scenarios ...

Constraints in CODD

1982
The paper describes the implementation of the data structuring concepts of domains, intra-tuple constraints and referential constraints in the relational DBMS CODD. All of these constraints capture some of the semantics of the database’s application. Each class of constraint is described briefly and it is shown how each of them is specified.
