On multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) modem design

open access: closedProceedings of IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC), 2002
Standard spread-spectrum techniques encounter a severe performance loss under channels with large Doppler spread. It is shown that the novel spread-spectrum technique, called multi-carrier (MC) CDMA, is dual to direct-sequence CDMA. This enables to derive that MC-CDMA is a signalling technique which allows optimum detection under severe Doppler spread.

Design and analysis of wavelength division multiplex (WDM) and code division multiple access (CDMA) hybrids (WCH)

open access: closedConference Proceedings LEOS'96 9th Annual Meeting IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society, 1996
Summary form only given. Wavelength division multiplex (WDM) system concepts, with WDM transceivers and associated guided wave devices based on the wavelength band around 1550 nm, are important ingredients of emerging telecommunication (telecom) and data communication (datacom) systems.

CDMA-IC: a novel code division multiple access scheme based on interference cancellation

open access: closed[1992 Proceedings] The Third IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003
Third generation cellular systems will need to increase capacity significantly from previous generations. A system based on code division multiple access may be of interest provided limitations often present in current proposals are overcome. Here, an alternative is discussed which offers many promising features. The predicted capacity is very high and
