A code-based hybrid signcryption scheme
A key encapsulation mechanism (KEM{\mathsf{KEM}}) that takes as input an arbitrary string, i.e., a tag, is known as tag-KEM{\mathsf{KEM}}, while a scheme that combines signature and encryption is called signcryption.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Code-Switching Strategies: Prosody and Syntax
The contentious question of bilingual processing cost may be recast as a fresh question of code-switching (CS) strategies—quantitative preferences and structural adjustments for switching at particular junctures of two languages.

Exotic field theories for (hybrid) fracton phases from imposing constraints in foliated field theory
Fracton phases of matter are gapped phases of matter that, by dint of their sensitivity to UV data, demand non-standard quantum field theories to describe them in the IR. Two such approaches are foliated quantum theory and exotic field theory.

On linear equivalence and Phelps codes. Addendum
A new class of perfect 1-error correcting binary codes, so called RRH-codes, are identified, and it is shown that every such code is linearly equivalent to a perfect code obtainable by the Phelps construction.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Cisneros’ Code-Mixed Narrative and its Implications for Translation
The pragmatic consequences of code-switching in the field of literary translation, especially in the case of Chicano novels that are written in English but code-switches to Spanish for pragmatic, narrative and stylistic purposes have barely been studied ...

Bulk locality and entanglement swapping in AdS/CFT
Localized bulk excitations in AdS/CFT are produced by operators which modify the pattern of entanglement in the boundary state. We show that simple models — consisting of entanglement swapping operators acting on a qubit system or a free field theory ...
