Code generation approaches for parallel geometric multigrid solvers

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2020
Software development for applications in computational science and engineering has become complex in recent years. This is mainly due to the increasing parallelism and heterogeneity in modern computer architectures and to the more realistic physical and ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Model-Agnostic Empirical Evaluation of Test-Driven Prompt Engineering on Improving Accuracy and Efficiency in Large Language Models Python Code Generation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Although Large Language Models (LLMs) are widely adopted for Python code generation, the generated code can be semantically incorrect, requiring iterations of evaluation and refinement.

From product codes to structured generalized LDPC codes [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 5th International ICST Conference on Communications and Networking in China, 2010
Product codes, due to their relatively large minimum distance, are often seen as a natural solution for applications requiring low error floors. In this paper, we show by means of an ensemble weight enumerator analysis that the minimum distance multiplicities of product codes are much higher than those obtainable by other generalized LDPC (GLDPC ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Semantic model-driven development of web service architectures. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Building service-based architectures has become a major area of interest since the advent of Web services. Modelling these architectures is a central activity. Model-driven development is a recent approach to developing software systems based on the idea

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

PromptTone: A Dataset for Evaluating Large Language Model Code Generation Under Varying Prompt Politeness Levels

open access: yesData
The increasing adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs) in software development has enabled automatic code generation from natural language, yet the influence of communicative factors such as prompt tone remains underexplored.

Abstract Syntax Networks for Code Generation and Semantic Parsing

open access: yes, 2017
Tasks like code generation and semantic parsing require mapping unstructured (or partially structured) inputs to well-formed, executable outputs. We introduce abstract syntax networks, a modeling framework for these problems.
