Advances in the Study of CircRNAs in Tumor Drug Resistance

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
Recent studies have revealed that circRNAs can affect tumor DNA damage and repair, apoptosis, proliferation, and invasion and influence the transport of intratumor substances by acting as miRNA sponges and transcriptional regulators and binding to ...

Alien coding

open access: yesInternational Journal of Approximate Reasoning, 2023
We introduce a self-learning algorithm for synthesizing programs for OEIS sequences. The algorithm starts from scratch initially generating programs at random. Then it runs many iterations of a self-learning loop that interleaves (i) training neural machine translation to learn the correspondence between sequences and the programs discovered so far ...

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Dataset for file fragment classification of textual file formats

open access: yesBMC Research Notes, 2019
Objectives Classification of textual file formats is a topic of interest in network forensics. There are a few publicly available datasets of files with textual formats. Therewith, there is no public dataset for file fragments of textual file formats. So,

Throughput Analysis of Stop-and-Wait Automatic Repeat Request Scheme for Network Coding Nodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This contribution analyzes the steady-state throughput of general network coding nodes, when data is transmitted based on stop-and-wait automatic repeat request (SW-ARQ) scheme.

Network Coding with Limited Overhearing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The two key benefits of network coding are increased reliability and throughput. Most network coding approaches for wireless networks rely on overhearing neighboring transmissions. Overhearing in sensor networks, however, is not energy-efficient. In this

On coding morphisms for zigzag codes [PDF]

open access: yesRAIRO - Theoretical Informatics and Applications, 1992
Summary: We are dealing with the zigzag codes in connection with monoid morphisms and free group morphisms. The injectivity of free group morphisms plays here the role of that of free monoid morphisms for ordinary codes. Subsets of free group words describing behaviours of zigzag factorizations allows us to characterize zigzag codes in different ways ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
